The Ministry of Industry and Trade decides to remain unchanged the policy on extension of the imposition of anti-dumping duty on imported cold-rolled stainless steel products as declared at Decision No. 3162/QD-BCT dated October 21st, 2019. Read more

Accordingly, cold-rolled stainless steel products imported from China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Taiwan shall be still subject to anti-dumping duty for more 5 years, counted from October 26th, 2019.

This Decision takes effect from the date of its signing.

The document is to request customs authorities not to request enterprises to register the inspection of quality of stainless steel products before granting customs clearance according to the regulations the National technical regulation QCVN 20:2019/BKHCN. This National technical regulation is promulgated at Circular No. 15/2019/TT-BKHCN, takes effect from January 1st, 2020. However, under Circular No. 03/2020/TT-BKHCN, the application of the National technical regulation is suspended until the end of December 31st, 2021 in order to remove enterprises’ difficulties caused the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to this Circular, the implementation effect of the National technical regulation on stainless steel issued together with Circular No. 15/2019/TT-BKHCN shall be temporarily suspended to the end of December 31st, 2021. Read more

From the effective date of this Circular (September 23rd, 2020), stainless steel domestically manufactured and imported from June 1s, 2020 shall be further sold in the market.

This Circular takes effect on September 23st, 2020.

Accordingly, import quota on colour coated galvalume sheets has been removed since June 15th 2020; the items shall be only imposed anti-dumping duty under Decision No. 3198/QD-BCTstatus1 dated October 24th, 2019.

This document is announce that the safeguard measure (in the form of tariff quota) imposed on imported colour coated galvalume sheets under Decision No. 1931/QD-BCT dated May 31st, 2017 has been expired since June 15th 2020 because there is no decision on extension. Read more

Accordingly, from June 15th, 2020, imported colour coated galvalume sheets shall not be imposed tariff quota as previously.

However, colour coated galvalume sheets imported from China and Korea are still imposed anti-dumping duty until to October 2014 under Decision No. 3198/QD-BCTstatus1 dated October 24th, 2019.

This Circular is to abrogate Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BCTstatus1 date January 25th, 2014 prescribing technology and equipment for production of cast iron and steel. Read more

This abrogation means the requirements concerning technology, exhaust gas treatment, waste treatment, wastewater treatment in steel manufacturers and cast iron manufacturers shall be no longer compulsorily applied.

Under the earlier regulations provided in Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BCTstatus1 , for the purpose of environment protection, steel manufacturers and cast iron manufacturers must recover and treat exhaust gas, solid waste, wastewater under these respective National regulations: QCVN 51:2013/BTNMT issued together with Circular No. 32/2013/TT-BTNMT; QCVN 07:2009/BTNMT (Circular No. 25/2009/TT-BTNMT ), QCVN 50:2013/BTNMT (Circular No. 32/2013/TT-BTNMT); and QCVN 52:2013/BTNMT (Circular No. 32/2013/TT-BTNMT ).

This Circular takes effect on July 31st, 2020.
